WHY THE SERVICE IS NEEDED
Right now there is no scheduled ferry connecting these three islands. None.
The only way across is to fly, and those flights are expensive, limited and often unreliable — with a real risk of delays and cancellations that can leave you stranded.
For families spread across the islands, for people with business on the next island over, for anyone travelling to a medical appointment or to see relatives, that is a real barrier.
Air connectivity across the Eastern Caribbean has also been shrinking rather than growing. LIAT, the region's main inter-island airline, closed permanently in January 2024 after 67 years, and options have been more limited since.
Meanwhile these islands are closer together than most people realise. St Vincent to St Lucia is 42 nautical miles. St Vincent to Grenada is 75. A fast ferry is the affordable, reliable connection this corridor has never had.
